Samuel Brown
Samuel Brown is a partner at The Law Offices of Nigel Burns, where he represents clients in complex civil litigation, probate and trust disputes, conservatorship matters, and family law. His practice includes elder abuse restraining orders (EAROs), civil harassment and domestic violence restraining orders, post-judgment litigation, and motions to set aside judgments and defaults. Samuel regularly appears in contested hearings, has tried multiple bench trials, and has second-chaired a personal injury jury trial.
Samuel’s path to partnership reflects a deep, ground-up understanding of litigation. He began his career at the firm as a file clerk and office manager—handling everything from filings to case logistics—before attending law school and returning as an attorney. That progression informs his practical, detail-oriented approach and his ability to manage cases strategically from inception through trial.
Samuel earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles in 2019. While in law school, he worked as a law clerk at Matias Flores Law Firm, where he handled a wide range of family law matters under the supervision of Matias Flores, Esq., a former senior associate at the firm. He also served as a student legal representative in Loyola’s family law collaborative mediation program, assisting indigent clients in divorce mediation. Samuel received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California.
Outside the practice of law, Samuel is a devoted husband and father to daughters. He is an avid golfer and guitar player, pursuits that mirror the discipline, patience, and creativity he brings to his legal practice.
